The Vjosa rafting trip: 9 km, Class II–III, 2–3 hours
The raft goes in near Kaludh and comes out just above Përmet. In between are around 9 km of Class II–III rapids with flat pools where you can swim. From March to June the river runs high on snowmelt and the waves are bigger; from July to November the water is warmer and calmer, which is when most families come. The whole trip, from check-in at the centre to the van back, takes 2 to 3 hours.
€25 per person, adults and children. Wetsuit, helmet, life jacket, the van to the put-in and your photos are included.

No. Most guests have never rafted. The guide gives a briefing at the put-in and calls the strokes on the water. Everyone wears a life jacket, so you do not need to be a strong swimmer.
2 to 3 hours from check-in at the centre to the van back, including the drive to Kaludh, the briefing and the 9 km on the river.
Class II–III. Biggest in April and May on snowmelt; smaller and warmer from July. The guide adapts the line to the water level on the day.
Yes, from age 3 in suitable summer conditions, with an adult in the raft — subject to the water level, equipment fit and the guide’s decision on the day. Children’s wetsuits and life jackets are provided. Children pay €25, the same as adults.
Swimwear to wear under the wetsuit, trainers or water shoes that can get wet, a towel, dry clothes and sunscreen. Leave your phone at the centre — we take the photos.

Yes. UNESCO designated the Vjosa Valley a Biosphere Reserve on 27 September 2025 under its Man and the Biosphere Programme, and the river has been Vjosa Wild River National Park since March 2023. Both recognise the valley and its biodiversity; neither is a certification of any company, ours included. Our rafting section runs inside the park.
